Yorkshire born Clare Teal is one of the most successful Female British jazz singers in decades with a string of albums behind her, including the UK National Top 20 hit "Don't Talk". Clare celebrates the music of her heroes and heroines, the leading lights of jazz and the big band world Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Judy Garland, Doris Day and many of their illustrious contemporaries. In 2008 Clare covered the classic hit 'Get Happy' with Universal W14, Clare presented a series on Radio 2 profiling 1930s singer Al Bowlly and, Clare also has a weekly lifestyle column in the Yorkshire Post as well as narrating a TV documentary about The Andrews Sisters as part of BBC4's Legends series. She also duetted with Belgian superstar Helmut Lotti on his platinum album, "Time to Swing". These days she continues to host a regular BBC2 slot on Sunday evenings at 9pm and if you're lucky, sometimes Clare presents 'Friday Night is Music Night'.
