Robert Glasper Experiment

Robert Glasper is a truly unique jazz pianist, creating the most harmonically complex arrangements that can literally go anywhere – taking Influences from hip-hop, R&B, gospel and even rock. Inspired to play piano by his mother, a gospel pianist and vocalist, Glasper attended Houston's High School for the Performing Arts. Since his graduation, he has gone on to release a stream of critically acclaimed records, including the hugely successful Black Radio – which features the likes of Erykah Badu & Lupe Fiasco. This went on to win Best R&B Album in the 2012 Grammy Awards.

When asked, Glasper claims that the music of Miles Davis has had the most significant influence on his work. This is clearly evidenced in his work for the hugely succesful soundtrack for Miles Ahead and the tribute album Everything's Beautiful. Robert Glasper is a true icon of modern jazz and we are honoured to have him perform at this year’s Love Supreme.
