South-east Londoner LULU. is a 21-year-old alt-R&B and soul singer-songwriter whose music blends warmth, Afrobeats, and tender introspection. On her forthcoming debut EP, Dear Disorientated Soul, she offers cathartic, uplifting tracks that explore the highs and lows of growing up, self-discovery, and leaning on faith.
Releasing via AMF Records (Greentea Peng, Loyle Carner, Olivia Dean), LULU. first emerged on TikTok, amassing a 24K+ community of fans. Her early singles, Save Me and Yesterdays, received support from Wonderland, Clash, COLORS, Dork, and Elton John’s Apple Music show, Rocket Hour. She brings this same energy to her live shows, having supported Khamari, curated an all-women band pop-up at BeauBeaus, and with a headline show at the Waiting Room coming up.
LULU. grew up surrounded by music, singing in the choir, performing in school plays, and listening to her father’s collection of gospel and high praise music on long family car journeys. Her love for Afrobeats, early Wizkid, 2Baba, Burna Boy, and soul icons like Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige shaped the authentic, hopeful, and emotionally honest sound she brings to her music today.
Working with producers including Dom Valentino, Felix Joseph, and bad entity, LULU. crafted Dear Disorientated Soulwith fluid vocals and cosy, rhythmic beats influenced by her Nigerian heritage. The EP is a nurturing collection of songs reflecting the emotional journeys of a young woman finding confidence, faith, and connection, inviting listeners to feel held through similar experiences
