Tomorrow’s Warriors Junior Band is an exciting line-up of musicians aged 14–16, featuring some of the most promising players on Tomorrow’s Warriors’ award-winning Young Artist Development Programme. The band is closely mentored by Rosie Turton—one of the finest trombonists on the London scene—as well as Dian Gasper, Axel Kaner-Lidstrom, and Gary Crosby OBE.

While following the lineage of the great jazz canon, they bring their own unique style and arrangements to the music.

Free access to Tomorrow’s Warriors’ artistic programme has proved crucial in nurturing the nascent talent and early careers of many of the most exciting UK artists currently making waves on the international jazz scene, including Mercury Prize 2023 recipients and BRIT Awards Best Group 2025 winners Ezra Collective, as well as Moses Boyd, Nubya Garcia, Shabaka Hutchings, Sons of Kemet, ESKA, Jason Yarde, Denys Baptiste, Robert Mitchell, Soweto Kinch, Shirley Tetteh, Byron Wallen…the list goes on.

Tomorrow’s Warriors offers a pioneering, free-to-access, comprehensive programme of learning and training that champions and supports young Black and female talent, and those who come from challenging circumstances that might otherwise be a barrier to pursuing a music career.
